The Travaini TMA series pumps are multi stage centrifugal pumps that employ a closed type impeller design. The impellers are in series so that the head increases as the liquid being pumped is transferred from each impeller. On this TMA centrifugal pump series the axial thrust forces are balanced by balancing blades on the back of the impellers. The remaining thrust forces are absorbed by the heavy duty ball bearing at the non-drive end and angular bearing at the drive end. For pump designs that have two external bearings, a seal pressure balancing line is provided to relieve pressures from seal area at discharge side back to pump suction side. This feature allows use of economical seals even when pump is working at relatively high pressures
The TMA pump design uses components manufactured with the latest foundry technologies. Pump efficiencies are improved, pump assembly and maintenance are simplified, reduction of pump weight is achieved without sacrificing the overall strength and durability. For the smaller TMA 30 centrifugal pump series a close coupled option design is available where space is limited. This design also eliminates any concerns for misalignment, which will enhance the pump’s performance and extend the overall life of the pump. Main applications for this multi stage pump include: handling of clean or slightly dirty liquids, heating plants, boiler feed, water supply piping, autoclaves, fire fighting operations, agriculture and irrigation, handling of hydrocarbons |
